Each fall as the weather changes and the leaves dance in their full color I think about how I am reminded to embrace my creative potential and ability to transform- whether it is my health, my relationships, or my attitude. To be fully creative and have the fuel to carry out the powerful changes that we wish to make in our life, we need to have plenty of “oil in the lamp”. Ayurveda calls this oil Ojas.  Ojas is the radiance we admire behind the newborn baby’s eyes and skin. It is the subtle essence that is responsible for life, radiant health, and sustainable energy to carry out what we set out to do. According to Ayurveda when fruits are enjoyed in fresh form that requires no digestion, this helps to increase our ojas. Ojas is considered the finest by-product of a healthy digestive system that enhances our immunity, happiness, and strength. 

The pear found in festive is great for energy and balancing the hormones. And if you are one that gets overly emotional during the fall it can even bring balance to our mood.  Pears are tridoshic, which means they are good for all constitutions and the cinnamon is warming and pacifying for stomach disorders, headaches and healthy for joints.

Festive is a reason to celebrate the change of seasons and infuse your body with ojas, embrace your creativity and calm your heart.
